Cannabis Terminology

Clone:

A baby plant that was cut from a mother plant.

Teen:

A large clone grown for approx 3-6 weeks.

Mom:

A female cannabis plant used to create cuttings.

Feed:

Given the plant nutrients.

Vegging:

When plant is in the “grow cycle”

Bloom:

When the plants are starting to produce buds.

Flip:

When the hours of lights are reduced to 12 hours to trigger budding.

Buck Buck:

When we start the process of pulling the buds.

Topping:

Topping Cannabis plants is a technique of cutting the central apex of the plant off to help encouraging lateral growth. This will force energy into the multiple nodes early on and will grow thicker healthier & stronger.

Herm/Seed:

When a female plant exhibits male characteristics such as seeds or “balls”.

Sea of Green:

The style in which we grow, it’s based on canopy yeild not individual plant yeild.

Trimming:

The final and most important stage of the processing prepairing for later use.

Colas/Tops:

The biggest and the best of the buds on each plant.

Bottoms/Smalls:

Just what is sounds like, the smaller buds to come off your plant.

Leafing:

The process of removing leaves from the plant to create more airflow and light to reach the flowering sites.

Cure:

Curing happens after ensuing enough moisture content remains preserving the cannabinoids and trepenes while reducing the water and chlorophyll in the bud.
